This GMC wrecker is a 12"L x 4.75"W x 7"H diecast collection car with openable doors & hood, and working winch. This 1946 GMC tow truck is manufactured by Highway 61. 50751 is in BLUE & WHITE 2-tone colors. Individually packed in a window box. Box size: 16.5"L x 8.25"W x 8.5"H.

 

First introduced in the fall of 1940, these trucks featured all-new styling, influenced by the Art Deco period of industrial design. The sealed-beam headlights were streamlined into the fenders, instead of mounted on top as on previous models. A 90-hp, 216 c.i. straight six cylinder engine was standard in the Chevy®, with an optional 93-hp 235 c.i. "Load Master" that generated 192 ft./lbs. of torque. Three different engines were available in the GMC version, topping out at 270 c.i. Production ran until May of 1947, when they were replaced with the "Advance Design Series" of trucks.

 

This Highway 61 Collectibles model adds the popular Holmes 515 wrecker unit featuring working split booms, positionable tow cradle, and crank operated boom winches. Also includes wheel chocks, tow chains, gas can and tool box.
