Slap Shot is a 1977 comedy about a minor league hockey team called the Charlestown Chiefs; a notoriously losing team from a town that is in financial ruins. Reggie Dunlop (Paul Newman) is the player/ coach of the Chiefs and his personal car is a 1970 GTO. Reggie is trying to keep the team together, but with all the hardships it looks like the Chiefs will have to retire their jersys at the end of the season. It's not until the violent Hanson brothers join the team that things start to get exciting. Their fighting and overly aggressive stlyle of play draws attention to the team and their town to regain popularity and prosperity.
