Since its founding by Henry Ford in 1903 the Ford Motor Company has helped shape the 20th century putting the world on wheels with innovative and affordable personal transportation. As we begin the 21st century, we are producing a series of 1:18th scale die cast replicas of select Ford Motor Company vehicles which have ushered in and created new eras of style, performance, and excitement for millions of drivers around the world. The second vehicle in the Precision 100 Collection is a 1913 Model T Speedster. During the nineteen year period from 1908 - 1927 more than 15 million model T's were produced in Ford plants worldwide. As Henry Ford and his Model T put the world on wheels, the youth of the day "backyard engineered" their Tin Lizzies into low slung buy-eyed speedsters, and the Model T as a sports car became the rage. This product features over 225 crafted parts! Exterior: opening hood from both sides, highly polished electro-plated brass parts, opening toolbox with tools, removable gas, oil, and water cans, soft PVC squeezable horn bulb, pivoting search light, moving monocle windscreen -pivots up and down, soft PVC tires, photo-etched wheel caps. Interior: Soft PVC seats and floor liner, moving handbrake, clutch, throttle, and spark levers, individually moving foot pedals with spring return, readable dash board gauges, and steerable front wheels. Engine: Die cast engine block, soft PVC plug wires and heater hoses, turning engine crank and fan blade, die cast exhaust system.
