This Ford monster truck is a 12.5"L x 5.75"W x 6.5"H diecast metal car. This '75 monster truck is manufactured by Greenlight. Limited Edition. 13539 is in PINK color. Individually packed in a box. King Kong was a series of monster trucks owned and driven by Jeff Dane and D.J. Desjadon. This truck was famous for its crash in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in a race against Carolina Crusher in 1990. The truck is named after the giant fictional gorilla of the same name. One of the earliest if not the first Diesel Powered Monster Trucks. Also disputed to be the not just the first monster truck but the first to crush cars.

The original truck was a mid-70's Ford bought from Texas. The stock frame was beefed up over a few years then swapped for a straight rail frame. King Kong 3 was built using parts from the original King Kong after its hauler accident. The panel van version of King Kong was a short-lived livery used on the Undertaker (Dane).

A replica of the original King Kong was built by Jeff Dane to be in the Hall of Fame. It has been stated that on a few occasions the movie company owning the rights to King Kong had asked Jeff to either pay royalties, or straight up not use the name on the truck, which is why the name Awesome Kong and his trucks with other names created.

King Kong is the first Monster Truck to crush cars.
