This Chevrolet Camaro SS-396 is a 10.5" long x 4.25"W x 2.5"H die cast metal car with opening hood & doors, steerable front wheels, detailed chassis, complete interior, 375 hp 396 cubic inch V-8 with four-berrel carburetor and rally wheels. This 1969 Camaro SS 396 is manufactured by the RC2 Brands. Individually packed in a window box. Box measures 13"Lx 7"Wx 5.25"H. 7148 in RED color. Exclusive die cast color.

The Camaro debuted in 1967 as Chevrolet's entry into the "pony car" category. It had a long hood, short rear deck styling, with a clean and sleek design. The axion of the day was "win on Sunday, sell on Monday," referring to how success on the racetrack translated into buyer interest in the showroom. All-new sheet metal for the 1969 model year made the '69s strikingly attractive. The Super Sport, or SS, package was a n available option from the beginning. When equipped with the 396 cubic inch V-8, the high-performance Camaro was a potent machine. The 375 horsepower more than backed up the aggressive looks. The SS featured a bulged hood with simulated intake ports, and stiffer suspension and larger tires to put the power to the pavement. Rally wheels, power front disc brakes, and close-ratio transmissions rounded out the SS package.
