God's Radical Ways in Preserving Man (intro)

In the last article, I ended the essay with a riddle: What does our DNA, Noah's ark, Ark of the Covenant, and the Altar have in common? I then proposed an answer: The preservation of Man, the Golden Rectangle, and the same intelligent designer...... God. If knowledge and understanding is viewed as putting small pieces of information and building upon it, what you start with better be true. If they are not, eventually the project will definitely go awry.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand this (even a person that hocks toys and cars for a living can understand this). If you have ever baked something and misread tablespoon instead of teaspoon, used baking powder for baking soda (they sound close enough to me), or mistaken salt for sugar, the end product will be off (maybe really off). Like the Titanic, many economic theories are sinking now; most of them can be traced back to an incorrect assertion. Now if truth is vital in the physical world, how much more true it must be in the spiritual world.

In the Beginning God......... -Genesis 1:1

I am going to attempt what I consider a pretty difficult feat. I'm going to combine the knowledge that you have accumulated (hopefully) in three of my past articles to advance us to another level in this journey. Another way to picture it is that we're going to go from squares 1, 2, and 3 to get to square 5. Actually, sea shells, pine cones, and your ear are three dimensional objects. So instead of seeing them as squares, picture them as cubes.

If God is a legitimate and good starting place, I think it is a strange coincidence, the Holy of Holies (also called the Most Holy Place) has the dimensions of a cube. Now what the heck is the Holy of Holies? If I had to answer it in one sentence, I would say that The Holy of Holies represents the dwelling place of God here on earth, or the throne of God.

This room resided in the Temple. And they happened to put the Ark of the Covenant (God's throne and what Indian Jones was hunting for in multiple movies) in that room. The temple was located in the city of Jerusalem and was the center of worship for God's people. The Bible give the dimensions of this particular room, and calls it the Most Holy Place.

The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar. -1 Kings 6:20

He built the Most Holy Place, its length corresponding to the width of the temple—twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide. He overlaid the inside with six hundred talents of fine gold. -2 Chronicles 3:8

And he measured the length of the inner sanctuary; it was twenty cubits, and its width was twenty cubits across the end of the main hall. He said to me, “This is the Most Holy Place.” -Ezekiel 41:4

Now I think it's fairly obvious how DNA and Noah's Ark are/were instrumental in the preservation of man. If you get a cut or germs enter your body, without DNA, you will perish. Likewise, without the ark, mankind would have perished when water covered the entire earth. What a coincidence that Noah's boat and God's throne would both be called arks. And what a coincidence that the face of both of the arks exhibited the golden ratio. Well maybe it isn't that coincidental, because one intelligent designer came up with the specs.

Now, I don't think it's obvious on how the Ark of the Covenant and the Altar has anything anything to do with preserving (saving) man -especially for those that do not read the Bible. But for those of you who are pretty astute, you will realized that two of the above articles brought you to a particular location. That location was the Temple. And more specifically, to the Holy of Holies. Next time, let's try to assemble everything together, build upon it, and see God's radical ways in preserving man.
