God and the Art of Toy and Diecast
Marketing
Something is Awry with the Timeline (part 6)
By L. S. Su
I didn't realize I had reader fans.
Upon receiving last week's newsletter and scrolling down to
see yet again no article on God and the Art of Toy and Diecast
Marketing, he actually picked up the phone to call and ask "What's
up with that?" I did provided some lame excuses, but told
my hard working Chicago Black Hawks rooting friend that I would
re-double my efforts.

Above is the current timeline that
is being taught in academia. When presented, it's NOT presented
to students as a theoretical timeline but as fact. In reality,
this timeline is constructed based on two theories: Things evolve
and radiometric dating is an accurate way to date objects. So
the above timeline is a theory based on two other theories.
Connor MacLeod: Wanna hear another
theory?
Lieutenant Frank Moran: Uh-huh.
Connor MacLeod: This Fasil was so upset about the lousy wrestling
tonight, that he went down to the garage and in a fit of depression
cut off his own head!
If you look at the chart above,
there is at least a 75 million year gap between the time when
dinosaurs went extinct to when the first man appeared. That's
a pretty long gap. If the above timeline is accurate, then I
think it would be safe to say that no man has actually seen
a live dinosaur. I think it's also safe to say that by the time
man started walking this Earth, they had no pictures or youtube
videos to consult on what dinosaurs looked like. So if we found
evidence that dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time, this
would certainly put the above timeline in question. So is there
any evidence that both man and dinosaur lived at the same time?

What we know about the Stegosaurs,
is that it lived in what is now North America and Europe. The
science text books teach us that this creature lived approximately
150 to 155 million years ago during the late Jurassic period.
Due to its distinctive tail spikes and plates, Stegosaurus is
one of the most recognizable dinosaurs.
The Khmer civilization once
flourished in the Southeast Asian territory of Angkor. Hindu
and Buddhist kings during the 8th through 13th centuries A.D. built
majestic stone temples throughout the area. In approximately
1186, King Jayavarman VII undertook the building of
Ta Prohm, a stone monastery/temple. The ruins of Ta Prohm, which
stand today in the overgrown jungles of Cambodia, were chosen
by one of the major preservation societies to be left in its
natural state, as an example of how most of Angkor looked on
its discovery in the 19th century”.
Intricately carved statues and stone columns fill the temple-monastery. On the stones, the ancients depicted animals, people, gods, various plants, and a host of other decorative images. But one column of carvings maintains a special interest to those interested in dinosaur/human coexistence. Concerning this particular column, Freeman and Jacques wrote: “On the angles and corners of the porch are numerous small scenes and representations of animals, both real and mythical” (p. 144). Of special note, the authors wrote about one of the carved animals, saying: “Among the vertical strip of roundels in the angle between the south wall of the porch and the east wall of the main body of the gopurathere is even a very convincing representation of a stegosaur”

If the creation story in the Bible
is accurate account of the timeline when things were created
and If you interpret, "And there was evening, and there
was morning" as literal day, Then humans would have been
around the same time these large animals were around. It's also
very reasonable that the Bible will not use the word "dinosaur"
because this term wasn't invented until the 1800's.
Next time let's look to see if
there is more evidence that man and dinosaur was around at the
same time. Let's also look in the Bible, one of the oldest documents
in human history, to see if the Bible makes any references to
these large creatures.
