18110BK SIGNATURE MODELS 1934 Duesenberg. 1:18 scale diecast model. This 1934 Duesenberg is an 11.5" long diecast metal with free wheel, steerable front wheels, highly detailed engine and interior, felt carpeting, and opening doors and trunk. This 34 classic oldie also has a closed soft top and it can be replaced with an open soft top. Classic car sits on display plaque. This 1934 Duesenberg is manufactured by Signature Models; ref. no. 18110 in BLACK color. Individually packed in a window box. This ultimate luxury car sold for about $16,500 with the Duesenberg chassis costing $8,500 and the custom-built bodies adding another $8,000 to $11,000. The body for the featured car was originally a Berline Sedan built by Willoughby on a long version of the chassis with a wheelbase of 153 inches; however, the car as shown in this model is equipped with a recreated dual cowl Phaeton body done in the style of LaGrande. The model had a straight eight-cylinder engine that could produce 265 horsepower. It had a three-speed transmission and was capable of 115 miles per hour. Given its steep price amid the peak of the Great Depression, Duesenberg's clients were mainly movie stars like Mae West and Gary Copper and business tycoons like Phillip Wrigley and Howard Hughes. Case pack: 6 pcs. Price quoted is for 1 pcs. Availability: Currently Out of Stock
