From the design cues fo the famous classic roadster 507 to sneak preview of the concept car Z07 in 1997, BMW has created the year 2000 Z8 roadster. From the long sloping hood to the shark gill cut out vents, the Z8 has captured the spirit of the 507 in a modern and the most elegant and luxurious form. Add machine guns and missiles, it became James Bond's mode of transportation in the new Bond Movie "The world is not enough". Driven by the same V8 engine as the BMW Motorsport M5, combining with lighter construction materials; the Z8 promises acceleration and handling on par with any other exotic sports cars that can cost 2-3 times as much. And with BMW technology, you even get fiber optics for the turn signal lights in the front fenders, replacing the conventional copper wiring and light bulbs. Only 500 production Z8's are scheduled for North American bound in 2000, chanes are: one half of the 340 dealers can sell a brand new first year Z8, besides the demo or display unit they have on the show floor.
